Baška is a town located at the south-eastern part of the Croatian island of Krk and it is also the most famous resort on the island. As any typical Dalmatian town, also Baška retained its historic appearance in the form of narrow streets and houses built next to each other.
The biggest attraction is the beach of Baska (Paradise Beach), which length is 2km. Moreover, there are other 30 beaches of fine gravel. Baska is also famous for its architecture, there are lots of cultural and historical monuments and excursion places around it.

Around the year 1100 a national monument of Croatian culture Baščanska ploča was built here. Furthermore, there are located several other sights and monuments, which is testimony to the lush history of this town and the island itself.
You can visit the Church of St. Trinity. It is the largest church in the surrounding area, built in Baroque style in the early 18th century. Another Church of St. Ivan the Baptist is the first church built in this region in the 11th century.
Baška is the second largest town on the island of Krk, which is connected to the mainland by a bridge. It is situated nineteen kilometers from the Krk town which is a great one-day travel tip.

Baška is situated in a large valley, through which flows the river. It offers an excellent transport links with the town of Krk, island of Rab and with Senj, which is the oldest town on the upper Adriatic lying on the mainland.
