Baška Voda is an important and popular sea-side resort with the port located on the Makarska Riviera. It is situated 10 km northwest of Makarska and 5 km southeast of Brela. There are growing vines, olive trees, fig trees or cherry Maraska.

The Adriatic highway leads over the village but its operation does not disturb holidaymakers. The advantage of Baška Voda is a rich vegetation, including pine forests, that reach to the long sandy beaches.

Even its location under the wall of Biokovo mountain is very picturesque. The resort is one of the most popular in Central Dalmatia, however, against other resorts like Brela is less exclusive, and has more folk character.

Swimming in Baška Voda

Baška Voda enchants every tourist with beautiful long beaches of small pebbles and coarse sand, which is typical for the Makarska Riviera. The beaches are stretched several kilometers in both directions.

They offer gradual entry and are therefore suitable for families with young children. Very pleasant is a pine wood, reaching to the beaches and providing a pleasant shade during hot summer days. The main beach, called Nikolina (formerly Juzna plaza) was awarded Blue Flag.
