The White Cliffs of Dover, England

The White Cliff from Dover has chalk cliffs that oversee the English Channel, which gives a better view of the French Coast. A tourist must walk the coastal path approaching the South Foreland Lighthouse.

Upon reaching the lighthouse, you will see the best view of the cliff and the very famous chalk grassland. The grassland has been a home to several surprising insects and plants species like the pyramidal orchid and blue chalk hill butterfly.

The cliff has been mentioned several times in our National History for the cliff has been used by England as a defense in World Wars.

Tresco Abbey Gardens, the Isles of Scilly, England

The Tresco Abbey Gardens are situated on the Tressco Island in the Isles of Scilly, UK. It has a 17-acre full of flowers that was established back in the nineteenth century.

Augustus Smith built and designed the garden, which started as a private garden only. Since the garden experiences long hours of sunshine and mild winter weather plus the high hedges and wall surrounding the garden, which safeguards it from Atlantic winds, the garden is now filled with exotic insects and plants that cannot be found in other parts of the world.

Stonehenge, Wiltshire, England

Stonehenge is a cemetery, a stone prehistoric circle monument and a site for historical study situated in Salisbury Plain.

It is a unique prehistoric circle of stones because of its manipulated shape of sarsen stones, wherein the stones were arranged in lintel and post formation.

Chatsworth House, Derbyshire, England

Chatsworth House is a monumental house located in Derbyshire, England. Since 1549, the Chatsworth house has been the home of the Cavendish family.

The house was situated in the east side of the River Derwent wherein it looks upon to the hills, which divides the Wye and Derwent valleys.

Inside this elegant house, you may find the most exceptional furniture, paintings, neoclassical sculptures, Old Master drawings, books and all other unique artefacts from England. Chatsworth house has been chosen the favourite country house of the United Kingdom for several times now.

York Minster, York, England

Discover the excellent York Minster cathedral designed with its masterpiece stone formation and stained medieval glass. The York Minster’s wide spaces let the tradition and sanctity of music and worship come alive.

However, there are quiet corners also for those who want to embrace the heavenly cathedral. The cathedral’s chambers located underground was transformed into galleries that reveal the importance of the cathedral’s artefacts.

In the York Minster, you can find the works of artists like John Thomton, Vermeer and Michaelangelo. The place also hosts an all-year round programs of events that features the Minster Choir, which is the UK’s greatest choir.

Llanthony Priory, Monmouthshire, Wales

Llanthony Priory was known to be one of the original houses in the Augustinian canons to establish in Britain. It is extremely popular for its beautiful and wild setting towards the Vale of Ewyas located in the Mountains of Black.

Glen Nevis, Scottish Highlands

The Glen Nevis has their own Highland Estate that occupies 1000 acres of land. In the village was a myriad of cycle and walk tracks, which are accessible to your room’s doorstep.

There is also an enchanting assortment of natural and wildlife habitats in Glen Nevis. Otters, salmon, red squirrels, pine martens and golden eagles to name a few of the species that lives in the mountains, forest and rivers of Glen Nevis has been enjoyed by tourist and even locals alike.

The Needles, the Isle of Wight, England

The Needles is a file of three unique pile of chalk that advanced out of the western sea extremity of the Wight Isle UK, which is very close to Alum Bay.

You may see the Needles Lighthouse that stands at the western and outer end of the chalk formation. At the top of the cliff is a tiny amusement park that has a variation of rides and shops, which is called the Needles Pleasure Park.

The park is famous for its attraction called the Chairlift, which conducts between the Alum Bay and the park. Scenic boat trips are available from the Bay that provides closer views of the Needles.

However, there are also other main attractions in the Needles such as the experimental rocket station, the four Coastguard cabins, and the two gun batteries.
