Berchtesgaden National Park is located in Bavaria which is in south eastern Germany. It is known to be one of the oldest national parks in Germany. Since it is where the Alps are, there are thousands of people that love to visit here every year.

There are lots of opportunities at this national park along with lots of different things to explore. The nature has been able to develop freely at this national park with very little to no human involvement. The Alpine consists mainly of limestone and sediments.

You may choose to take guided walks throughout this national park or you can walk alone. If you want to learn more about this destination it might be best that you take a tour guide along with you that can give you more info about each unique landmark. You can explore the wonderful peaks and slopes; be careful and watch your footing; make sure you wear comfortable shoes because they will be very much needed!

You must not miss out on taking a very popular tour to Lake Königssee. This lake cuts in between Mount Watzmann and Hagen mountains and is similar to a fjord. It is a very beautiful landmark to see and one of the main places that people like to see when they go on the tour. The lake water is very clear and clean; so clean that you could drink it if you choose too. If the water is this clean then you have a good idea as to just how untouched the park is.

Here, you will be able to see many different species; some endangered, roaming about the forest. Some such as the Ibex, eagle, marmot, and the blue hare. If you come from a different country then you’d be amazed with the different animals that you see at this national park because you might not have them where you reside. Many of the animals mentioned are rare to see while on tour, but they are there and consider yourself to be lucky if you do catch a glimpse of them.

After experiencing a long and adventurous day at the national park you can head to an inn located near the mountains or a hut with a variety of accommodations for you to enjoy.
