Birmingham is the 2nd largest city in the United Kingdom based on population, right behind London, it boasts an outstanding 1,075,000 residence, and that was based off the 2011 census.

Birmingham started as a medium sized business and market place during the medieval times but quickly grew up and expanded as times went on. During the industrial revolution the city of Birmingham really began to shine, and start to get international attention for its advances in science, technology, and economic organization.

Birmingham has sometimes been referred to as “The Father Town of Manufacturing”.

Today Birmingham is a huge center for commercialize trade and is ranked as a beta world city. Based on the economical stats and the revenue that the city brings in, it is rated as the 2nd largest city in the United Kingdom and in the top 75 cities in the entire world.

Not only is Birmingham made famous by its great commercial epic center, but it also boast one of the best education systems in the United Kingdom. There are a total of five universities in the area, which is the most of any city in the United Kingdom with the exception of London.

Along with Education comes culture. Birmingham is very popular for its culture as well as the influence it has played on countries around the world. Some of these huge cultural influences include:

  • Birmingham Royal Ballot
  • Barber Institute of Fine Arts

Birmingham is geared and said to be one of the top 20 most loveable cities here in the next couple of years.

Not only is the anticipation of growth due to the area as a whole, but Birmingham serves as a huge transportation hub of the United Kingdom with its massive network of Rails, Motorways, and Canals.

With citizens and tourist pouring in and out of this region time and time again, it is only a matter of time before individuals start calling Birmingham their new home, or at least their home away from home.
