The City of Bath is known as a place that the Romans considered a thermal spa. It became a place that was very important to the surrounding industry during the Middle Ages. The city was under the development of George III during the 18th century and he turned it into a place of high class and elegance. The buildings were made with a neoclassical theme in mind. This theme blended in quite well with the Roman baths.
The remains of the city and the baths are known to be a very famous and important part of history. The Roman remains can be found north of the Alps and they were known to mark the beginning of the Baths’ history. The baths have given a nickname to the town; it is known as Spa Town.

The influences of Ralph Allen and John Wood are what could be seen throughout the Georgian city and they are responsible for making the city what it still is today. The architecture used and the landscapes area combination of pure beauty and pleasure throughout the land. People came here to enjoy the spas and to get cured from various different conditions that were known to be cured by the spas.

All across baths, you will find many terraces, Palladian crescents, and squares which extend across the green hills and valleys. They show the excellence and the hard work that was put into the hard work of structuring in the area. The landscape merges in well with the architectural designs that were proposed there. The hard-working skill performed by the architects definitely shows and when people visit Baths it is much appreciated by many. Many of these architects worked for over a century with no specific plan in mind of how the design would turn out.
