Efteling – the largest theme park in the Netherlands and one of the best in Europe
Efteling is a renowned entertainment park located in Southern Netherlands, North Brabant, Kaatsheuvel. Around four million people visit it each year, and it is so popular that it can be compared against Disneyland Paris or the German Europa Park.
Efteling appeals to visitors of all ages, although numerous families with children choose it as a fun way to spend the day. The park fascinates with its fairy tale atmosphere, its enchanting charm being doubled by its natural green setting, highly pleasurable in a world where the urban concrete seems to gain more ground with each day.
Efteling Lente
Efteling has evolved over the years from a simple, nature surrounded playground into one of the best themed parks of all Europe. It covers an area of 65 h, which is actually larger than Disneyland Paris by 20%! During summer, the park is available to the public between April 1st and October 31st. Visitors can enjoy all the entertainment facilities that the park has to offer starting from 10 am, whilst closing hours differ depending on season and day of the week.
The park can be reached by car, bus or bike, great parking facilities being available at €7 per day, whilst cyclists can secure their bicycles for only €1 per day. Visitors can gain access in Efteling after paying around €30 (prices differ on and off-season with discounts being also available), but whilst they’re in, all shows and attractions are completely free of charge except the Game Gallery.
Efteling is divided into four realms, each offering unique attractions and catering for a huge variety of entertainment preferences. You can opt between the Fairy Realm, the Alternative Realm, the Travel Realm or the Tough Realm, or you can embark on a fun journey to enjoy them all!
