The Kellerwald-Edersee National Park is in the center Germany and if you plan to stay in the town of Kassel then it will only take you about half an hour to get to the national park. Lake Edersee is the south border of the park which is where the last untouched portion of the forests in central Europe are.
When you visit here you will see decade upon decade features of the beautiful forest lands. There are no industrial roads and there is no sign of houses and railways, just the nature that has been reserved for many people to come and visit.
The visitors will be able to enjoy and admire about 50 mountains which are covered with blankets of breech. The streams are clean and crystal clear; visitors would be able to see the fish and the rock beds. Boulder fields and rocks galore cover the lands making beautiful landmarks to take photos of for memories.
The boulders were formed from the ice age’s glaciers. Many of the oak trees are huge and have been in the forests for thousands of years. The gullies that are damp possess many mountain elm trees. The orchids are beautiful and can be found in the meadows with beautiful blooms on them during the spring and summer.
Where these ancient trees are there are many species that they provide homes too. Some of the species include the black stork, wild cat (which is rare), bats, and many other mammals. There are plenty of different pathway trails that lead to various beautiful landmarks throughout the forests.
There are so many things to see there. Visitors can walk for several miles and not see one person but will be able to listen to the peace and quietness of the forest with the occasional sounds of the birds and other animals rustling about.
You will have the chance to see several different areas where there is flora and fauna. Visiting the Kellerwauld-Edersee National Park is a wonderful opportunity and an experience that most people won’t be able to forget.
