Krk Island is one of the pearls of the northern Adriatic, whose traditional way of life, closely connected with the sea, provides an inexhaustible opportunities for relaxing.

The sea, numerous beaches, the possibility of recreation, tasting homemade food and wine, hotel and private accommodation offers, apartments and rooms, that are just a few characters that describe the real holiday on the island.

By area it is one of the largest islands of the Adriatic Sea. Cultural and tourist center of the island is the city named equally Krk.

The coast of the island is largely made up of gravel or sandy beaches. Among the great advantages of the island is primarily a wide choice of accommodation.

The island is known also for a good wine, the most famous of them is “Vrbnicka žlahtina” which is produced by a large number of producers and stored in well-preserved wine cellars.

Today you can find a large wine cellar in the town Baška, which is located in the southern part of the island. It is also one of the most popular summer destination for families with kids on the island of Krk.

Did you know that the name “Golden Island” got Krk due to the large variety of seafood and landscape even in ancient times? On the island you will find wonderful Biserujka Cave situated deep below the surface, which includes a lovely courtyard and galleries.

On the island of Krk is also a diving center, which provides accommodation, boat transportation to the dive sites around the island of Krk and surrounding islands.

When you are coming to Krk, the first thing you notice is the monumental bridge. Twenty-three years old monument, that changed island of Krk to much more accessible place, is a symbol of the largest Croatian island. Its area is 410 square kilometres. Moreover, it allows you to plan quick trips to the mainland.

The beauty of the island is mainly in diversity. Krk offers fertile lowlands, high cliffs, vineyards, forests, 500 meters high peaks. There are good cycling trails and hiking opportunities. Average summer temperatures are around twenty-three degrees – this applies to both air and water.

Also mud from one of the largest bays of the island, Soline, makes Krk a place suitable for recovery of the organism.
