Mont Orgueil Castle is located in Saint Martin, Jersey, Channel Islands. Upon visiting the castle you will see just how live and real the medieval times were. It is if the visitors can time travel back to the days of the castle when it was most used for battles and other circumstances besides housing the Queen.

For about 600 years, the purpose of the castle was to protect the people of Jersey from the French invasion. Upon entering the castle you will be able to explore its many staircases, rooms, towers, and hidden treasures.

Visitors can experience climbing the turrets to find the medieval “Wheel of Urine” which from there will take you down a cellar where witchcraft practices were said to have taken place. Guarding the castle you will see the uniquely designed life-sized wooden soldiers. These soldiers are placed accordingly to help with keeping attackers away. There is also a wounded man statue that is placed as a sign to show those that were helping to fight away any invasions on the castle.
