Perhaps one of the most magical destinations in the world is Rome, Italy. It is the epicentre of culture and heritage, not only for Italy, but for the entire Europe and maybe world as well. There is just so many things to see and do, so it is important that when choosing to visit Rome, stay away from the tourist traps.
Every year countless people make the trip to Rome, and most of them do it at the same time. The concept is known as the tourist season and it is the time of the year that it becomes increasingly difficult to find good accommodations and great prices. Many locals will tell you that the best times to visit Rome are in the early summer month of June and July.
Don’t forget that Rome is filled with cobblestone streets so it is important to make sure that you bring along proper footwear for walking. To see the best of what the city has to offer you, you need to get out and walk the streets and since it is a vacation, make sure that you are as comfortable as possible while walking.
Anyone who comes to Rome must stop by and check out the Colosseum. It is such an amazing work of art that has stood through time. Just outside of this landmark you will find costumed gladiators in the streets with swords in hand. This is definitely a great photo opportunity, but don’t forget to give the gladiator a little something for being in your photo.
As with any city that you may plan on visiting, make sure that you exchange just enough money before you leave, to get you to your hotel upon arriving. Never use the airport money changers as you will always lose a lot of money in the exchange rates and fees.
Above all though, just make sure that you have as much fun as possible.
