Szczecin – the largest seaport in Poland on the Baltic Sea
Szczecin is a maritime port city in Poland. It is split into two parts that are named for their location on the banks of the Oder and Regalica rivers — Lewobrzeże is the left bank and Prawobrzeże is the right bank.
There is plenty to see in Szczecin. Pomeranian Dukes Castle houses a museum, restaurants and several cafes, as well as a tourist information office that will help you find other things in the area you’d like to do.
There is another museum in Old Town, as well as many lovely shops and places to eat. Just next to old town is the Kamienica Loitzów, an interesting tenement.
You could take a stroll on the Waly Chrobrego promenade, which has brilliant views on the Oder river and port, many more cafes to stop and drink in and another museum, Muzeum Morskie.

For a more unusual museum, the Museum of Technology has a huge collection of vintage cars, motorcycles, buses and trams.
Or you could visit the enormous, Gothic St. Jacob’s Cathedral. Just behind the city council is Park Kasprowicza, which houses plenty of physical things to do.

Going to the cafe on top of the Pazim building by the Galaxy shopping centre is a brilliant, free way to get a breathtaking panoramic view of Szczecin.
Or if you prefer seeing things more close up, you can take a trip through Szczecin’s waterways and ports. If you’re feeling particularly adventurous you can even kayak through the city and the lower Oder valley.
