Warwick Castle is a fortified medieval castle which you can visit if you are located close to Warwickshire. Built by the great William the Conquer during the 10th century, the castle has been owned by four prominent families during the centuries- Bicham, Neville, Dudley and Greville. They were all earls of Warwick and thanks to them the Warwick Castle is one of the most impressive aristocratic strongholds that you can see in England and probably in the whole world.

The history of Warwick Castle started back in 914, when the daughter of Alfred the Great – Etelfleda built a fort to control Avon River. Today, the castle which you can see is from the time of Bicham Thomas, who is the first Earl of Warwick.
In 1604 James I gave the Warwick Castle to Sir Falk Greville. He spent all his fortune to renovate the castle, but was killed by a servant. It is believed that his spirit still haunts the castle.
The amazing rooms that you can still see are due to his work and the work of his successors. The interior is really well preserved and you will be surprised by its beauty and uniqueness.
In 1998, the Warwick Castle passed into the hands of the organization of Madame Tussauds and you can see many instruments of torture and wax works.
